Hyaluronic acid naturally exists in all living organisms, has a high biocompatibility and is widely used in medicine, not only in aesthetic medicine but also in ophthalmology and orthopaedics.
Generally, local anaesthesia is not necessary, but sometimes an aesthetic ointment can be used especially for the treatment of more difficult areas such as the lips.
Hyaluronic acid is not a permanent filler. This means that once injected, the product is progressively metabolized and then reabsorbed by the body at variable times – depending on the area treated and the type of preparation used. The fuller effect and volume increase are immediate and last 6 to 12 months.
Fillers based on hyaluronic acid can give very natural results, with almost no side effects.
