The surgery will leave a 2 mm scar on the area where the fat has been taken, and a 2 mm scar over each labia majora. These cars will become barely visible within a few weeks.
During the first weeks, you will experience moderate pain, swelling and bruising, and minimal bleeding. You will be prescribed painkillers and antibiotics for 7 days. Return to work is after 5/7 days.
The patient will be able to resume moderate exercise and sexual life after 4 to 6 weeks. It is advisable to keep the area clean and you can take a shower normally. As for any other surgery, also labia augmentation with fat involves minimal risk of complications like infections or bleeding, pain, bruising and swelling. About 20 to 30% of the fat injected will usually be reabsorbed by your body, so your surgeon might inject a bit more fat than needed, to be to achieve a visible result.
Once the area is fully healed, the sensitivity of the genitals will go back to normal.
