As <\/span>Indian website GG2 notes<\/span><\/a>, a study by <\/span>Dr <\/span>Neelam<\/span> <\/span>Vashi<\/span>, a dermatologist at Boston University, revealed that there has been a growth in \u2018butt uplifts\u2019 as <\/span>a new generation of plus-size models have taken centre stage and made curves fashionable.<\/span><\/p>\n

It noted that the Daily Mail report on the phenomenon had revealed a growing number of British women going overseas for the procedure, under the influence of the likes of Ashley Graham.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, this is also something that needs to be done safely; there have been <\/span>some <\/span>bad results and even fatalities from botched operations, so British women might be wiser to find a skilled practitioner <\/span>in London <\/span>with all the right credentials and an impeccable track record.<\/span><\/p>\n

Where there\u2019s a story on plastic surgery, the Mail is never far away and, sure enough, <\/span>it has reported<\/span><\/a> on one surgeon in Florida who has emerged as something of a star in his field. Dr Alex <\/span>Earle<\/span> who works in Miami, has claimed he can make women look 25 years younger with a Brazilian-style butt lift. <\/span><\/p>\n

It is worth noting that he has taken a low-risk approach: his surgery is not available to anyone with a BMI over 30 or aged over 50.<\/span><\/p>\n

Talk of Brazilian bottoms does highlight that there are some cultures where curves in that area have long been celebrated. Indeed, Brazil takes this as far as its \u2018<\/span>Miss Bum <\/span>Bum<\/span><\/a>\u2019 competition, which is perhaps like \u2018rear of the year\u2019 except competitors<\/span> actively <\/span>take<\/span> part.<\/span><\/p>\n

British fashions and styles may not have gone anything like that far and probably never will. But as curves become more fashionable, there is definitely a growing demand for bum uplifts.<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
